My name is Jackie Gable

 A Certified Doula and Owner of Oasis Birth Tub Rental & Doula Services. ​

I am a native of Humboldt County, living in Eureka my whole life. I am the mother of six wonderful children, giving birth to two and adopting four after being in foster care in my home with my husband of 28 years. 

​

I began my journey in Doula service in 1995 when given the opportunity to assist a friend through the birthing process. Since then I have assisted in numerous birth for family (two grandsons and a granddaughter), friends, and community members. I became a Certified Doula in 2019.

Along with Doula Services; I have provided postpartum care, assisted families with newborn care, and offered respite care for birth, foster and adoptive newborns as their parents transition into a routine with a new child. I have worked as a preschool teacher's assistant, owner/operator of a in-home daycare center and I'm a grandma to five grandchildren.

I am also active in a local High School community and offer service in many different capacities at the school, I am also a High school Cheerleading coach. Go, Crusaders!

In May of 2023, I was presented with the opportunity to become the Owner of Oasis Birth Tub Rental. I continue to work toward being a breastfeeding and childbirth educator.
